The Society for Historic Sound Carriers (GHT), founded in November 2002 in Vienna, is a non-profit association, open to members from across the globe. It aims to protect and preserve soundcarriers dating from the early recording period (cylinders, shellac discs and vinyl records) to document data and content in line with scientific standards, to archive and to facilitate access. Basically, our goal is to promote the awareness of this topic within society and initiate and support relevant activities.

With your membership you support those goals and the interdisciplinary work carried out by GHT.
